During Easter holidays we were four people that tasted three Douro white wines (2008 Niepoort Redoma Branco, 2008 Niepoort Tiara, 2009 Guru (Wine & Soul)). They were first tasted on their own, and then together with five different types of seafood (small shrimps, scampi, scallops, small crabs and king crabs, latter also called Kamchatka crabs).
Light yellow-green colour. Fresh cool aroma of citrus and minerals. Also in the taste a good mix of citrus and minerals. Medium to full body. The oak is well integrated. Relatively long finish. Of the three wines, the Redoma worked best with seafood. I would really like to try the Reserva version. 90 pts.
