I was doing my usual, futile check for Madeira in the monthly specials at Hi Times, and lo and behold the Broadbent 5 Year Reserve Madeira is on sale for $15.99 (down from $18.98).
Can anyone tell me how this wine would compare to Blandy's Alvada?

A nice easy sipper, especially at that price. If you don't get to finish it off, cook with it! Love sauteeing portabella mushrooms in this particular Madeira, while taking a swig or two.
