TN: 2007 Po de Poeira Douro red

I do like the Poeira a lot, so I was curious to taste the second level Po de Poeira. This tasting note is from having consumed two bottles.
Decanted 1 hr. Medium red colour. Distinct aroma of oak and berries, where the oak is dominant in a not-so-pleasant way. Medium body. A bit harsh/bitter in style, which is not to my style. Medium length in aftertaste. Being sold here at the same price as Quinta do Vale Meao Meandro, and I clearly prefer the Meandro. 84 pts.

I did not taste the 2007 but I had the same impression with the 2005, it seems it's not made from the same producer. I had 03,04,05,07 Poiera in the last year and wow this producer is really on the rise with the quality of Poiera, the price is still not bad for the quality!
