TN: 2009 Niepoort Redoma Branco

Post by Andy Velebil »

A more steely and austere nose compared to the 2008. There was more wax and a creamer texture on the palate and it seemed to be a fatter wine compared to the 2008. On it's own a very nice wine but the 2008 overshadowed it. That said, this was also tight and should flesh out in another couple years.

Yep, I also prefer the 2008 to the 2009. It was not atypical that Andy and my scores really meshed on the Douro lineup we had this past weekend.
