1963 Croft Vintage Port

Post by Lars »

Oporto bottled, no ullage. Mature color; raisins, fresh, dried fruit; similar in the mouth: elegant, mellow and gracefully aged VP, albeit finishes with a bit too much alcohol. 93p

A perfect note. The fruit is starting to fall away into the beginnings of the Tawny phase in most examples I've had with only rare exceptions. Some heat is part of the end game of this wine and has been for years now.
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com
