A very bright clean nose of loganberries and tar in the background. A brash of fruit is quickly tempered by minerality and some light tannins on the medium body. It quickly fills the mouth with fruit, but not overripe fruit, far more of an older Douro style. Matter of fact that is something I really like about this and what makes it stand apart from some other wines in its price range. A nice lingering finish shows slightly more tannins, plenty of minerality, and some darker fruit. This is showing much better than when I first had it earlier this year, I'm very impressed.
