Noticed that there was only one tasting note in the FTLOP TNB.
Purchased at a wine shop in Setubal, Portugal, May 2002.
Decanted 8 hrs. Dark red with a touch of purple and a light rim. Aroma dominated by spirit, but during the decanting period the fruit became stronger (and a bit less spirit). A very pleasant silky texture with a lot of fruit. As for the taste it was unfortunately fully dominated by the spirit. Medium body. Powerful, but acceptable tannins. Finish medium length. I would have liked to try another bottle if I can find it. Without that dominating spirit, the score would have been minimum 93 pts, but the spirit brings it down to 86 pts.
