Nice article by Jancis Robinson, her writing is always informative.

I'm glad that the Portuguese have for the most part avoided Cabernet but am embarassed to say that years ago I was sold on a bottle of Portuguese Cabernet, a 1990 Quinta de Bacalhoa. Today I rather wish I had bought a Periquita Classico or some other JM Fonseca wine available at the time.
