1985 Quinta do Infantado Vintage Port

This wine exhibited a light ruby hue which faded quite a bit towards the meniscus. On the nose I detected quite a few floral notes along with some light citrus aromas. The palate was simple with a very light mix of plums, bing cherries & a touch of spice and the finish was short and clipped. The nose raised my expectations, but the palate did not deliver. This was an enjoyable, abeit uncomplex wine that would be fine for an everyday sipper. 83 pts.

I've never been impressed with this VP and felt that few ever really were good until the 1992 Infantado.
