1967 Cockburn Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 3½ hours - Mid-red colour, looking mature; quite light at only 50% opaque. Dusty strawberries on the nose and some soft sage underneath that. Not hugely attractive. Light bodied; soft and gentle texture. Lovely flavours, full of soapy cherries and soem spicy heat. Lots of spice on the sweet aftertaste - with the benefit of some tannin-based cocoa and plenty of candied fruit on the finish. Lost weight in the glass as the evening went on and reduced score to 84. 86 points
