1970 Dow Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 1 hour - Ex-cellars from Vila Nova de Gaia. Very slightly darker than the Graham 1970 shown alongside, 80% opaque. Red centre, very attractive appearance. Fresh, citrus nose with sour cherries, tobacco and cedar wood. Balanced entry and a balanced mid-palate. The fruit is gentle and in perfect harmony with very mild tannins and gentle acidity - perfect poise. Balanced aftertaste, with a long and lovely finish. This is a beautiful port, with a delightful balance. 92 points
