1983 Offley Boa Vista Vintage Port

Decant: Pop 'n' pour - Deep red, modest colouring on the rim; opaque. Milk chocolate and bitter cranberry combine on the nose - more youthful than perhaps might be expected of a 28 year old port. Silky texture with dry fruit and a nice balance - perhaps a little bit on the light side. The tannins are soft and well placed. Gentle aftertaste with a lingering and soft finish. This is drinking well now. 87 points
