Decant: 5 hours - Deep red, with a touch of brown at the rim; 99% opaque. Stewed and slightly sour blackcurrants on the pronounced nose. Generous texture on the palate, fully flavoured and with lots of fruit. A great palate, with supportive acidity. Lovely sweet aftertaste and a long finish of red licorice. Very long finish. An extremely impressive port that is drinkable now but is likely to last 20-30 years. 90 points
