1955 Taylor Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 17 days - A sample bottle from RLC, a bottle that was opened on Christmas Eve before he came down with 'flu'. Very pale, butterscotch in colour. Nosing of butterscotch Angel Delight. Empty palate impact, nothing but bland syrup. Hollow. Strange, buttery aftertaste - not pleasant, but not unpleasant - but this is swamped by the rosemary normally encountered in a very old port. 78 points
