Quite the vibrant nose of plums, tar, and blackcurrants. This slowly gained in both body and complexity over two hours and was at it's best when the bottle ran dry. Initially thin and simple with dusty tannins, it was wild to see how much this evolved into a sweet and medium-full bodied wine. Tar, graphite, red plums, and forest floor dominate the palate and then smoothly transitions into the long finish. I wasn't too keen on this at first then totally loved it by the end. Lesson learned...Decant this for a couple hours next time. For $20 this was a great QPR.
