1927 Cockburn Vintage Port -- (believed)

Post by Lars »

The label had fallen off when in possession of the current owner. This was the last one of 40+ wines this evening, and probably did not get the attention it deserved at 4 AM. Very raisiny on smell; wonderful length, surprisingly it still has some berry fruit – but it is residing, making way to the alcohol. However, still elegant and complex. 95p

I have owned several bottles of this VP over the years. The majority of the bottles were in pristine condition and showed beautifully. Decanted properly, this has always been a crowd pleaser and an impressive Port that in the past decade has continued to shine.
