1980 Fonseca Vintage Port

Post by John M. »

Decant about 8 Hours. Light garnet color. Slightly sweet, no tannins to speak of-has some qualities of a tawny-clove. Strawberry notes on the end. Would say this is at its peak and should be drunk now. Got to love the style of the "army surplus" label.

You referring to the basic black and white label? If so I've always loved the simplicity of the older Fonseca labels. No frills, just straight up old school.
