TN: 2003 Ramos Pinto Duas Quintas Douro

Post by Andy Velebil »

Picked this up a few weeks ago and got around to drinking it last night with dinner. I took no notes, as it was one of those days where I just wanted to enjoy a glass of vino, relax, and watch some television.

But, I will say this was one of the better inexpensive Douro reds I have had. It cost only $8.00 (US) and is a steal at that price. It seemed to show best in the first 3 hours, so obviously this is not ment to be aged. But if your looking for a good QPR red, this is one not to miss.

I can only agree with you Andy, in Québec it retail for around 15$ US and I find it is already a good price, so at 8$ its a no brainer!

For me the best one I've tasted between 99 and 2003 was the 2001.
