1980 Taylor Vintage Port

Decant: 10 hours double decanted - Imperial College stock. Dark red in colour, with a firm rim, 90% opaque. On the nose, this is slightly corked with just enough taint to flatten the smells. Nice texture on the palate, but the slight TCA bitterness shows. There are still some tannins showing on the palate, and some sweet fruit. The ghost of the TCA damp cardboard shows on the aftertaste before a pleasant but short finish. 85 points
