1955 Warre Vintage Port

Decant: 4½ hours - Burnt orange colour, firm rim; 60% opaque. Lovely nose, attractive strawberry jam but modest in volume with concentrated oranges. Delightful texture, rich and flavoursome impact. Meaty tones, but with rich and conentrated mandarin providing great balance. Tingling tannins show on the aftertaste, then a terrific finish of great length with a birch-sap tang. Great port. 93 points
