1963 Constantino Vintage Port

Post by Rune EG »

This was a very nice surprise. I have only heard about this port, but never seen it / tasted it.

Two bottles at the tasting. Decanted abt 2 hrs by the restaurant (probably too short). Medium redbrown in colour. Wonderful aroma of mix red fruits, an undertone of something smoked and in general slightly on the sweet side (both aroma and taste). Border line full body/medium body. Taste: WOW!! Very pleasant, well balanced, elegance, some power, lovely fruit, pleasant tannins all the way, long aftertaste. I spent a looooong time enjoying that glass of vintage port. One of the better vintage ports I have tasted. 96 pts.
