1952 Dalva Golden White Colheita Port

Bottled in 2006. Big nose of orange peel, burnt toffee, marzipan, citrus, and smoke that is irresistible. Plenty of acidity on the palate keeps the oranges, smoked nuts, citrus zest, toffee, maple, and cigar box in perfect harmony. This has such layers to it which are amazing. The finish persists for what seems like an eternity. In my opinion the 2006 bottling of this was the best. That little extra depth this has compared to other bottling years shows. A great way to finish my 40th bday celebration with friends. (Do need to add an edit. A little was left and I enjoyed the leftovers for two nights. It didn't skip a beat and showed as well two days later as on the day it was opened.)
