Tasted blind in a lineup of 1983 Vintage Ports.
Most red out of a lineup of 10 1983 VPs (really 8 + 2 ringers). Ruby garnet with only faint bricking. Meaty with menthol, eucalyptus, and alcohol aromas. Was there also a bit of chocolate? In the mouth, tangy berry fruity (boysenberry or huckleberry?), sweet, with some alcohol burn in the finish. Fairly sweet. 92 points.
This was my second favorite of the lineup of 10, after the 1983 Ficklin.
