Tasted blind in a lineup of 1983 Vintage Ports.
Deep ruby color, on par with the Smith Woodhouse tasted immediately prior. This, however, had a more developed aroma, and I thought I smelled a bit of a weedy field, freshly mowed. Nice fruity berry flavors and sweet. 93 points. My second favorite wine of the group of 9, and third favorite in the 1983 Retrospective.
