Earthy and subtle stone fruit nose. Intense blackberry palate. Structured and serious. This needs time to work through the tannins – although those tannins are very fine. Great length in the finish. This is a big step up from the last few vintages. I think it’s a better effort than the 2003, which I loved. It remains to be seen if it will be as seamless as the 1991. But all in all, a great effort from Croft! 91-93 points
