1994 Graham Vintage Port
Quite a pure, deep garnet color, tinges of ruby at the core and amber at the rim. Complex nose of dry hay, burnt sugar, licorice, and sweet raspberry. Similar palate, with raisin and bing cherry. Loads of alcohol, even after 18 hours in the decanter, with considerable persistent tannin lurking underneath. The finish lingers sweetly, heavily, and very warmly for minutes. An excellent overall package, despite the powerful spirit. Definitely a different profile from the Taylor, but almost equally appealing for its complexity and likely longevity. From half bottle.
