1977 Taylor Vintage Port

Post by Tom D. »

Beautiful, clear, medium ruby color. On both nose and palate, this showed pure and clean berries, licorice, perfume and spice. Still structured and nicely balanced, with the spirit well contained but pleasantly warming. A very fine and youthful wine to lay down for a couple more decades, although the oddly small TFY branded cork on this bottle wouldn't have held up that long. Oporto bottled, neck fill, very slight old seepage; filtered then decanted with stopper for 24 hours. 95 pts.
