I voted "Yes of course...what a silly question" but have to caveat that with the explanation that the friend and loved one that will be receiving the port will be ....... me 8)
So far this year I have chosen for Elizabeth to give me single bottles of the Fonseca-Guimaraens 1987 and the Delaforce 1985. There may be more in the wings, but I am not sure.

What about port tongs from vinologia or elsewhere (is fitoc that sold port tongs on ebay and referenced here the same as vinologia)?

You bring up a good point. In the middle of this year, someone wrote to me and asked me why I was not offering these types of items. I have been in a personal tug-of-war about doing so. Part of me sees this as a service for folks who want to have access to reliable, reasonably priced Port accouterments. Another part of me believes this is "selling out" and commercializing the website. I am still torn, although leaning more towards doing it in 2007, but have yet to decide. Being able to fulfill orders is probably the biggest deterent at this point.

I would love to see you start to do these things. However, when you do you start to put your reputation on the line.
If you offered a small and carefully chosen selection of port accoutrements through the web site I would rely on the items you choose to offer as being:
1) reliable - they will do the job that they are supposed to do and do it effectively
2) failry priced for the chosen article - but not assuming the article to be the cheapest of its type
3) not necessarily offered direct by you - I would be quite happy if you had an arrangement with a producer or retailer who shipped direct to me if I paid through the FTLOP website
4) and if anything went wrong then you would be willing to help to sort things out.
But, I say again, I would love to see you start to open a commercial section of the website. An area where people offering port paraphenalia can make their offer directly to the port-loving community.
