1963 Dolamore Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 2 hours - Impressively deep red in colour; opaque. Gentle nose bringing a bit of dusty cherry. The lovely thick texture that is starting to seem typical of the vintage. Fresh fruit on the palate, good levels of acidity keeping the freshness and an interesting sage-leaf twist. Medium-bodied, modest in intensity and still quite acidic. Nice aftertaste, with a big flaring finish that has lots of cherry and green wood tannins. Fine port. 87 points
