1983 Dow Vintage Port

Decant: Not Known - Modest red colour, with a slight cloudiness in the centre of the glass; 90% opaque. Restrained sweet raspberry nose, but a touch empty. Sweet fruit entry with very dry tannins giving a very dry body. Good levels of fruit shows through well on the late palate. Very hot aftertaste, a vinegar core to the finish and the soft aftertaste. Other bottles of Dow 1983 have been much better than this. 84 points
