1960 Noval Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 5½ hours - Burnished orange in colour, 40% opaque. Pronounced nose, quite frsh and minty with a tang of kumquat. Sweet toffee-apple on the palate, a lovely balance and texture. This has a wonderful complexity with acid constantly battling with the Golden Syrup. Fully charged on the aftertaste and a huge finish that has plenty of heat but also plenty of flavour. Fine fireside port. Served blind this was guessed to be Gould Campbell 1966. 92 points
