1970 Taylor Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 6 hours - Bottled by Quellyn Roberts & Co Ltd of Chester. Mid-red, mature appearance; 50% opaque. Lovely mature strawberry nose with floral overtones. Sweet entry that has a lovely elegance and poise. Great palate presence with a spicy structure and masses of mature fruit and leather. The palate really is wonderful. The finish is delicious, long and powerful with sweet strawberry dominating over a dry and chalky length. Served blind this was guessed to be Gould Campbell 1970. 94 points
