Graham's 30 Year Old Tawny Port

Post by John M. »

Clear burnt red orange with nice depth. Nose offered fig, leather and a toffee sweetness. Initial sip is quite sweet, raisins, hazelnuts, orange zest. Subsequent tastes don’t seem as sweet and the raisin dissappered. A lovely integration of flavors, smooth and voluptuous finish that lingers with a perfect amount of acidity, yet the weight is moderate. At times I picked up caramelized butterscotch, pralines, toffee, sweet leather and various forms of orange (zest, cooked). My first Grahams tawny and I was quite impressed. Tasted at a restaurant, unknown bottling or even how long its been opened.
