Got two bottles of 2002 Vale D Maria as part of a bundle of bottles at an auction.
Both of them were decanted in a proper way and checked every half hour. At the opening the aroma and taste are both showing that something is wrong. It is going the wrong way every half hour and were basically never really drinkable. I am great fan of the Vale D Maria Douro red so this is disappointing. It seems these wines should be consumed before they reach more than 10-12 years. NR

Yikes. It does seem that these wines are not aging well at all. At least the older ones. I've not yet had a chance to get to my offsite to pull some of my other vintages and see how they are doing. Other than the 2004 as previously discussed.
