I decided to decant this for 4 hours prior to starting to taste it just to see what an extended aeration would do. Plenty of mocha and tar showed when I first started drinking this 4 hours into decanting. Over the following 3 hours it slowly changed to more tar and black fruit. The light tannins and lifting acidity did not change and respectively gave it depth and freshness. I really liked how this wasn't "over the top" in terms of fruit, instead being very well balanced. For a "QPR" (Quality to price ratio) wine this doesn't sacrifice anything to achieve it's $20 USD retail price, unlike many other wines in this price point. Give this a few hours decant for drinking now or hold for a few years, regardless it'll be a good experience. For anyone looking for a well priced and very good drinking wine, this is one to get.
