TN: 2009 Quinta do Crasto Old Vine Reserva Douro red

Post by Rune EG »

Decanted 4.5 hrs. Bottle was consumed over a period of 1.5 hr. When approaching 6 hrs in total the acidity was growing quite fast. For future bottles we will go for 4 hrs. Dark purple colour. Pleasant aroma of a wonderful combination of berries/oak/minerals. Full body. Powerful & elegant. Fresh fruit with clear input of the usual Douro-combination with oak and minerals. Medium to long aftertaste. In my mind this is still the best value-for-money Douro red available. 93 pts.
