TN: 2007 Chryseia Douro red

Decanted 3 hrs. Some very small sediments and the bottle needed double decanting. Dark pruple colour with a light rim. Pleasant and interesting aroma of berries with distinct elements of oak and minerals/soil. Latter of a differant dimension than most Douro reds. Full body. Powerful and elegant. The elegance is showing berries, herbs, oak and minerals. Nicely polished tannins. Well-structered wine that also had a well-balanced acidity/sweetness. Long after taste. 94 pts.
