TN: 2011 Casa Ferreirinha Quinta da Leda Douro red

Post by Rune EG »

Decanted 4.5 hrs. Medium to dark red colour with a light rim. Complex wonderful aroma of berries, minerals, oak and some leather. Full body. Powerful taste, elegant, a “big wine”, delicious berries in combination with minerals and oak. A well-structured wine with well-balanced sweetness/acidity. Slightly dry towards the end. Medium to long aftertaste. 95 pts.

Yes, Luis S. has been doing some amazing things with C.F.'s wines. IMO, they are getting better than ever before, that's saying a lot.
