Decanted about 4 hours. Initial taste when I opened it was rather tight and straight forward black fruit and tannins. After 4 hours it has transformed into a young beauty. Lots of restrained dark berry fruit, dusty tannins, plenty of acidity to carry it with age, graphite, and very light wisps of mocha on the finish. If you're looking for an over the top "modern" style wine, this won't be your cup of tea. If you're looking for a classic "old school" style Portuguese wine that will benefit from another decade plus in the cellar or a long decant to show its best young, buy this one. I know I'll be doing the latter. 92+ points
