TN: 2016 Quinta Vale D. Maria Tinto Douro red

Post by Rune EG »

Magnum bottle. Decanted split into two equal decanters. Decanted 3 hrs which appeared to be good. Deep dark red. Wonderful aroma of oak, minerals and fruit in a nice combination. Full body. A well-structured Douro red where also the balance acidity/sweetness was pleasant. Minerals and oak are clearly apparent and also exciting while the fruit (consisting of several types of berries) is embracing everything. Hint of some spices. Medium length aftertaste. 94 pts.
