From a half bottle decanted for 1 hour and drunk over the next hour.
A lovely bright red colour and very clear; On the nose cherry fruit, some marzipan and the usual alcohol. Not really complex but a lovely bouquet. on the palate good fruit and alcohol with a sweetness that turned into a reasonably long dry finish.
It was a straightforward wine hence the short description (even for me) but it was a lovely port, mature, drinking well but not really going to go anywhere in the future. The style reminded me of the Fonseca 1980 (without the spice) and the Delaforce 85 I had at the Crusting Pipe offline.
That was my last bottle so probably won't have it again unless I get lucky.
Paul.
