TN: 2014 Quevedo Grande Reserva Douro red
This product was first tasted/consumed May 2017. After 3.5 yrs, it was time to try it again. 14.5 % alc. Decanted 2.5 hrs. Deep purple colour. Pleasant well-structured aroma consisting of berries, oak and minerals. Medium to full body. The taste had a powerful start with plenty of fruit and distinct tannins/minerals. Nice structure. Relatively dry in the second part of the taste. Fruit is a bit shy in the background, which is pity. Medium length aftertaste. No significant improved development since May 2017. The wine is lacking some freshness, and minerals are too evident. 88 pts.
