Vasques de Carvalho 40 Year Old White

(Bottled 2023.) This has thicker aromas than the 20 and 30 year old whites, more sugary, with honey, nougat, and some tree bark. Like the 20, it also has some alcohol spirit apparent. Later there was an herbal aroma like wintergreen! The flavors, including a little peppery spice, are very nicely integrated with the sugars. The finish is warm and pleasant. 93-94 points.
