1963 Quinta do Noval Nacional VP
The aroma is definitely more fruity than the prior tasted 1963 Fonseca, with some red fruit and brambleberries, perhaps boysenberry? The flavor is sweet with a wonderful medium body. There is a great depth of fruit, and it tastes like it could be a 1994 vintage Port. Incredibly deep fruit flavors of cherry, raspberry, black currant, and something else perhaps like elderberry. Nice acidity, and mild but apparent tannins. This is best VP I can recall ever tasting. 98 points.

As a side note, a few years ago I bought 5 pounds of fresh elderberries. I made a sauce, a sugar syrup, and an infused gin with them. I don't recall the exact flavor now. I still have some of the gin, but it also has gin flavors to complicate using it for a flavor profile.
