  • 2003 Cristiano van Zeller Douro Casa de Casal de Loivos - Portugal, Douro (2/3/2008)
    Dark ruby color. Deep notes of roasted cherries and smoke. Big fruit on entry. Huge mid-palate. Very suave, thick fruit.. but surprising balanced. Touch of acid and the wood is there, but not over oaked. Long caressing finish. A big, big success for the 2003 vintage! (94 pts.)
