1964 Quinta do Noval Colheita

Post by João Rico »

Quinta do Noval Colheita 1964
While the vintage (63 Noval Nacional) i've had "left to its knees", this colheita was the Kockout. Intense, intense and intense. I do not remember many wines like this. Notes of tobacco, roasting and even some spice, were just some of identifiable aromas that passed by my nose.
Unctuous mouth, almost could chew the wine. Completely decadent, this colheita. Pure delight. Superb

I'm very glad to hear that, thanks for the TN João. I have managed to collect a few of these to save for significant birthdays and will keep searching for more!

Sorry if this is a naive question but what year was this particular Port bottled?

Thanks for the note! I was thinking of opening up a bottle and your impressions really gave me a sense of the evolution of this colheita.
