1997 Cockburn's Vintage Port

Post by Andy Velebil »

The color was still holding up well and showed no signs of premature fading. The nose had some vegital notes that I likened to broccoli and had a little heat showing. On the palate it was initially course and obviously still young. Lots of drying tannins followed by massive violets and blueberries. The finish drops out just for a second on the mid-finish then comes back. I felt this was still young and disjointed and would have loved to see how this showed on day 2 as I felt it would get better. 91-93 points
