1980 Graham's Vintage Port

Blind tasting at Roy's, 2 of 8

Medium red, lighter than the 1980 Warre's. Nice fruity nose with raisin, plum, cherry, etc... I also pickedup something I thought of as dried leaves. The palate has well integrated tannins that are soft, silky, and sweet. Medium to full body. A bit of alcohol on the finish but overall this drinking really well now.

I liked this quite a bit and 2 nights later when finishing it off with Stewart, the heat had blown off and was almost fully integrated which made it far more pleasure packed for me. I enjoyed it when we were all together, but the heat was a bit much at that moment. Still a very nice VP and normally I have not encountered that much spirit in other G80 bottles.
