1963 Fonseca Vintage Port

Blind tasting at Roy's, 7 of 8

Dark red, looks young. Big fruity nose, full of sweet red fruit. Moderate tannin and full body. A bit of heat on the palate but not too much, just enough to make it warm and spicy. Mint and chocolate. Complex, big structure, a bit hot but oh so delicious. My favorite of the evening.

You say potato and I say tomato.

OK, so we disagreed on this one. I liked it, but prefered the Cockburn's on this particular evening. If you had told me that would have been my outcome before we got started, I would have made a significant wager on that.
