1985 Warre’s Vintage Port
Medium dark ruby with soft violets, plums, and blackberries on the nose. The palate was a bit hot and from prior experience it probably needs a longer decant. Lots of cherries, some menthol, and a bit sugary. Although there was some solid tannins the finish was a bit simple and short. Not up to the level of other bottles, as this one didn’t seem like it had come together and integrated quite yet. 91+ points.
